Hi @asolidrock, and welcome to Connect. That feeling of “weakness” in your chest caught my attention, especially since you describe it as happening with some pain but not necessarily with exertion.

It sounds like your doctor has already started gathering information about what may be causing it. Your EKG provided information about your heart’s electrical activity at the time it was done. The echocardiogram will allow your doctor to look at your heart’s structure and how it is working, while the stress test can provide information about how your heart responds when it is working harder.

This Mayo Clinic information explains some of the tests used to evaluate chest pain and what doctors can learn from them:

- Chest Pain Diagnosis and Treatment
https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/chest-pain/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20370842
Chest pain can have many possible causes, including those involving the heart, lungs, digestive system, and muscles and bones. Mayo Clinic provides an overview here:

- Chest Pain Symptoms and Causes
https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/chest-pain/symptoms-causes/syc-20370838
While you wait for your testing, let your healthcare team know if the pain changes or worsens, and please call 911 for sudden, severe chest pain or unexplained chest pain that lasts more than a few minutes.

How would you describe that feeling of “weakness” in your chest? Have you noticed anything that seems to bring it on or anything else that happens at the same time?
