Hi,
My name is Vicki. I’m 70 years old. I was diagnosed with adult onset diabetes at around 42 years of age. I’ve always had it under control. I had a knee replacement three years ago about six months after the surgery, which went really well. I started having neuropathy I have not been able to find a neurologist that has been able to help right now. It’s at its worst. I’m hoping just to chat with people who may have some solutions as how to make it better I know it can’t be cured. Thanks for listening. Looking forward to chatting with people suffering from this issue.

Hi Vicki @nana1956, welcome to Connect. I have idiopathic small fiber peripheral neuropathy and shared my neuropathy journey in another discussion here - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/comment/310341/. I've also been in the pre-diabetic category most of my adult life and suspect my neuropathy could have been partly due to the metabolic syndrome which is connected with diabetes. Probably the best thing you can do is what you are doing right now - learning more about neuropathy and what others have found helpful.
