Treatment options for cervical spine arthritis

My husband has been experiencing severe neck pain on L side and NO range of motion to the L since 1/2026 and he is looking for treatment options for relief. Imaging (MRI, CT ) shows cervical spine arthritis. C1-2 steroid injection with no improvement. After viewing imaging neurosurgeon did not recommend surgery. Referred to a physician for non invasive treatment and advised diagnostic MBB (medial branch block) to confirm 70-80% pain relief at C2-3 and C3-4. Ablation procedure done 8/19/2026. As of now no pain relief and no range of motion to the L. Seeking recommendations for other treatment to relieve neck pain and improve range of motion.

@kellyb58 the pavement art is 9 FEET by 11 FEET done in 2.5 days in the street. Done AFTER my surgeries. (that was the point of showing them to you - life AFTER surgery). I have a disease which is degenerative so I have to accept REALITY that things are only downhill as far as my body goes but that LIFE CONTINUES very successfully, as I have adapted. Thanks so much for sharing your experience. You have no idea how much it helps. It gives hope when I feel so defeated right now. And everything is unknown. I just learned yesterday how bad my spine is and I now have to start the process of finding Drs, and rearranging my life to do what has to be done.

Cervical disc surgery is often highly successful my husband had it and has no issues at all. I had stenosis and osteoarthritis and had good results with radio frequency ablation. I've been essentially pain-free for 8 or 10 years from that

It was nice to talk to you. I’ve seen so many people saying how bad these surgery’s are but you give me hope. I’m so scared and I don’t even know what they will do yet but my pain management dr says it’s bad and I will need a multi level surgery. He’s referring me to a neurosurgeon and I’m waiting for the appointment.
