Small Fiber Neuropathy and Pes Planus
I was diagnosed with Pes Planus (Flat Feet) which I developed while in the military. I have recently been diagnosed with Small Fiber Neuropathy. My feet really hurt especially when i just stand. Does Pes Planus aggravate my SFN? I say yes but my Neurologist says no but didn't do a good job explaining. Who is right and why?

Hello @gvk5899, welcome to Connect. From what I've read flat feet can put more pressure on nerves and cause pain but I'm not a doctor and have no medical training. I do have small fiber peripheral neuropathy but only numbness. Not to say my feet don't hurt if I walk too much or have been standing too long. While you wait for others who have experience I did find a reference that seems to confirm that Pes Planus can add to your foot pain.
