How long does it take to get your Decipher test results usually?
I had my prostate biopsy 7/6. I still don't have my Decipher score. Today the doctor's nurse told me that sometimes it takes a while for them to receive the tissue samples through the mail, and she didn't think that they had them yet!
What is the experience of others?
Maybe I'm paranoid but a couple of scenarios have come to mind.
1. They forgot to send them!
2. They got bad results and want to tell me in person rather than post in My Chart.
3. They got lost in the mail.
I assume that if they had a good outcome that they would have been posted by now. I'm supposed to have another PSA test next month and see the doctor in November. I can't imagine that he would make me wait until then to share the results no matter what they are. Needless to say the waiting is killing me (figuratively, I hope).

It normally takes 2 to 3 weeks for the results. When was the decipher first requested, that might be the reason for the delay.
I put in for a decipher test 4 weeks ago and have not received results, insurance has to approve it first and that takes a week or so, my oncologist said it typically takes around a month.

It's been 4 weeks haven't received anything but don't have my Urology surgeon consultation till Sept 28th so really so as long as it's there by then, then will make a decision based on results soon after, also Insurance sent me a letter 1 week after I asked for one, so they probably don't send the samples to San Diego until Insurance approves the test.

You should email the doc that requested the decipher test and ask what the results were. No need to wait for an appointment.
Already did that the results aren't in yet. The insurance approved the test and they are processing it, so should be here shortly. My urologist is very good about sending results back I usually see them before he does. Thanks
Had my biopsy on Jan 6 and the Decipher report is dated Jan 23. This was in 2023.

If you're not getting clarity from your doctor's office, you should try contacting Veracyte Labs directly. I've spoken by phone and email with their customer support in the past and they've been very responsive and helpful.

Thanks. I was going to try that but the website seemed to indicate that they only send the results to the doctor. I will give it a shot.
