What are the most recent treatments for Large fiber neuropathy
I am 77 years old and was diagnosed with large fiber neuropathy 3 years ago, however , I have been experiencing nerve loss for several years. Starting in my upper thighs and slowly traveling to my feet , arms , shoulders and hands. I would like to know if there are any experimental treatment programs going on that I might participate in. I am from the dallas texas area.

Mine is diagnosed as idiopathic large vessel PN. Punch biopsy ruled out small fiber. I have numbness and loss of sensation over entire body, loss of balance and coordination. Thankfully no pain but very restless nerves. I have malabsorption of ADEK. I do absorp some but not enough to register in my blood. I have found PT, using my roller walker, extra strength Tylenol, Requip at night has helped some. Just keep moving, treadmill (can’t walk without it), arm exercises with weights, good nutrition, lots of balance exercises. I have been at this for 18 months. Trying to find right combination
