AUS activation and riding a bike
To those who've had an AUS implant. Did it take a while after activations to get used to it? How much of a learning curve was there?
How long until you were very comfortable with it?
Also were you able to ride a bike after, or how long after, the implant.
Thanks in advance.

There is a device called The Sling for light incontinence. Also, while waiting to see how the incontinence developers with time (delayed side effects from radiation) and debating which way to go, an incontinence clamp can be worn comfortably while riding a bike. At very least it can be a stop-gap temporary measure.
Hello. I have had my AUS about a 9 months, with a prostatectomy about a 18 months ago. I have infrequent leakage EXCEPT when I get on a stationary bike for spinning or riding my e-bike. Inevitably, I get leakage which makes the ride less enjoyable. I have begun to wear a small pad liner that sticks in my underwear which provides some relief but even with that sometimes the leakage when I ride a real bike is uncomfortable. I asked my surgeon if this was normal and he dodged the question with a 'sounds like you are doing great" comment.
Anyone have similar occurrences? Any solution? Why does this happen when riding bikes, or occasionally putting on my shoes?
Thx!d
Hi,
I use to wear the Depends light shield but it was too small and the “wings” always curled in. I switched to the Depends Max Coverage which is a bigger pad with a little more absorbent material, they work great. I put a piece of scotch brand cellophane double side permanent adhesive tape on both wings which hold them great. Need the permanent not the temporary adhesive. You could also go with a full adult diaper.
