Immobile mornings.
Every morning for the past two months, my Arthiritis and neuropathy keep me from my “new normal” walking. Pain starts above or around the tailbone; it’s moving on the right, left, above etc the tailbone. My left leg muscles, quad & thigh cramp on down to my feet around the ankles. I try several things to help such as heating pad, stretching, ice, but all with little results. A very hot bath usually releases it and I feel much improved.
Has anyone else experienced this? I see my orthopedic doctor tomorrow, but at 78, I would love to avoid surgery again. I had a spinal fusion, L-3,4,5 in 2014, which gave me several good to great years, but the ordeal of recovery is something I’d love to avoid. Help?

I would like to believe that there is currently series of researchers looking into the pain, buzzing, and burning caused by peripheral neuropathy. I mean real serious research. There are millions of us in the same boat. Severe pain caused by neuropathy. Is it the research needed? Is it inadequate funding? I am willing to start a Go Fund Me for this terrible condition. Come on, medical community! Get on the stick and give us some treatment options, please!

1 Reaction@heisenberg34 The research is happening. Even just a quick look at Mayo Clinic shows a number of studies underway:

Instead of Go Fund Me, maybe search for a study near you where you can participate? Try a Google Search similar to this "Peripheral Neuropathy clinical trials near [your location]"
I'm not typing too well with a fractured finger, but it sounds like you need a tailbone (Coccyx) adjustment). I have those a couple of times a year from chiropractors. Your pain sounds like mine, but may not be. mri would help determine. Hope there is no surgery, but great relief.
@sueinmn Thanks! Some great ideas,
