Migraines and anabolic drugs
Is there anyone here that also gets migraines with the diagnosis of severe osteoporosis with a sensitivity to fluctuations in estrogen? That being said I have concerns about going on anabolics and HRT both of which would be beneficial with my severe diagnosis. Being 73 HRT may not be an option but anabolics would be after being past the bisphosphonate I am currently on. I would sincerely appreciate any one who can relate and has been trying to navigate this journey with the similar issues. Please share your experience.

I'm doing topical HRT very low dose. It has helped stabilize my bone losss.
I've decided not to pursue any of the osteo medications for multiple reasons, but having episodic migraines, I was concerned that the meds would increase my migraines. Which was a huge negative for me.

4 ReactionsI’m 52 with moderate osteoporosis after surgical menopause and hormone positive breast cancer. I tried Tymlos for a few weeks and couldn’t handle the migraines. I took it before bed and it also made my heart race and have to pee every hour, so I wasn’t sleeping. I asked my PCP if I could change the dose because I’m usually sensitive to meds but she said no. I’ve read that a lot of people do, so I may just do it anyway and see if that helps. Sorry you’re also having migraines, it’s awful.
