@aliv

Did you and your physician talk about the bone building drugs....forteo, tymlos and evenity? Did she explain why she is recommending fosomax, reclast or Prolia first?
We are all finding that it is very helpful to do our own research on Osteoporosis and treatments. It makes it easier to advocate for yourself.
Sequencing of these meds is important so you may want to explore that further.
I am not a physician only a tired patient. What were your latest dexa scores?

@gravity3 Thanks for your reply! Yes, she suggested Prolia (which I have ruled out), Fosamax or Reclast. I am leaning toward Reclast. I am afraid of stomach problems with Fosamax.
My DEXA shows osteoporosis: spine –2.8, femoral neck –2.5, total hip –2.4.

@gravity3 although my endo was pushing for Reclast, I told her I wanted to try Evenity. She felt certain that standard Medicare wouldn't cover because I've never had a fracture, even though my bone density has decreased 10% in the past 3 years. However, Medicare says that a fracture isn't a requirement for coverage, so I will begin evenity next month.
