Fatigue with Cymbalta for pain
Hello group. I am new to this so I hope this has not already been addressed. I have chronic pain issues due to Mixed connective tissue issues, osteoarthritis arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and hyper mobility. My doctor put me on Cymbalta. I take the lowest dose at night. But it turns me into a zombie during the day. It does help me sleep with less pain as I was not able to sleep well before due to pain. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding the fatigue I’m experiencing during the day. I thought about maybe taking it during the day but it seems like when I take it I get really tired within an hour.
Thanks for any suggestions!

My pain management doctor put me on Cymbalta a few weeks ago, ontop of the Lyrica I was taking. The Cymbalta made me nauseous and gave me headachs. It also gave me a brain fog, so I stopped taking it. I wasn't on it long enough to see if it would help with my pain. And this was just taking 30mg once daily. I was supposed to up it to 60mg after the first week. Never made it that far. Good luck to you.

1 ReactionMy doctor started me on Cymbalta about a month ago and I took it every day 30 mg and the fatigue was unbelievable so I stopped it.
I only took it for three days but I really noticed the fatigue.
I’m now taking it twice a week 30 mg and I’m going to up to three times a week because I seem to be able to tolerate the drug now as a slow introduction. I should also mention that I take oxycodone for pain 5 mg three times a day so that would also increase the sleepiness. I was put on the Cymbalta for anxiety, but there is a pain management part of the medicine as well.
I think it’s worth trying as a slow introduction because it’s a good drug for anxiety and pain. Hang in there, I know sometimes it seems like it’ll never end. It is a slow road but it’s worth it.
