Hi @beebo The spleen plays an important roll in the body so having it removed takes some consideration with patient and doctor…risk vs reward. From what I’ve learned the spleen might be removed if the enlargement is causing increasing discomfort or complications such as difficulty breathing, interferes with eating, or sleeping. Basically, if it’s impacting the quality of life or when other treatments are ineffective.

If I recall correctly, you’ve had an enlarged spleen for a couple of years? Do you feel it’s getting worse? Have you talked to your doctor about possible removal?
