Anyone have thyroid nets?
I had a typical Lung net removed in Nov 2025 but before I found out I had cancer I had a thyroid light up on a pet scan they said immediate risk of malignancy did a biopsy said benign. My left thyroid that was a T3 but in my right thyroid was a T4 but not Lit on pet scan so nothing was done on right but had a lot of carcinoid symptoms flushing diarrhea high sugars etc blood urine tests were normal. Gallium Scan in June my Thyroid left was double than was on the pet scan. My lung net didn’t have really any uptake in pet scan before surgery last Nov just curious if anyone’s had lung and thyroid or what their experience was with and net thyroids tumors

I found your entry very interesting. I had a NET tumor removed from my carotid artery in July 2025 at Mayo Rochester. Before that, I was unaware of any thyroid issues, til Dr Moore said an FNA needed to be done on one of my thyroid nodules, which I had done in April 2026, showing benign. I apparently have a plethora of thyroid nodules. I had no idea NETs might go to a thyroid, but it sounds reasonable. In Oct 2024 I had 2 tumors removed from my left kidney (thanks to Dr Sharma at Mayo, I still have 90% of the kidney). Since then, I've learned that if thyroid cancer metastasizes from somewhere and you've had kidney cancer, there's a 50% chance kidney cancer went to thyroid.
Thank for your info; til today, Im not sure why, but it never occurred to me a CBT could feasible go to thyroid... of course it could! Thank you!
