@ladytri Not really. A needle biopsy is done prior to treatment, if needed. Surgery should not be needed just to have a biopsy. 90% of meningiomas are benign and radiation can be done to kill cancerous meningiomas in some cases. I wouldn’t choose surgery over radiation just to get a biopsy and don’t believe a good neurologist would either. I had Gammaknife radiation 3 years ago on a 4cm tumor and it’s dead and shrinking. No after effects other than being on anti-seizure meds.

@joetex no one mentioned "biopsy" to me. Now I'm totally confused and angry. 😠 I have a pre op appointment this week. Will be sure to question this. Thanks @joetex I'll let everyone know what I find out
