Multiple Touchscreens not recognising fingers

Thanks for the replies to my earlier question. Something interesting seems to be emerging: quite a few people who have difficulty getting touchscreens/keypads to recognise their fingers also mention Raynaud's or Raynaud's-type symptoms. This is on this site and the IWMF site.

Anna was diagnosed with Raynaud's by her GP (primary care) before her LPL was discovered, although Haematology later pointed out that this had not been formally diagnosed by a consultant. Interestingly, someone else has described a very similar situation.

Anna's touchscreen problem occurs on different devices and machines and isn't confined to times when her hands are obviously cold, so I am particularly interested in whether there could be a connection with Raynaud's, neuropathy or autonomic/small-fibre dysfunction.

This obviously isn't a recognised test for neuropathy and I am not suggesting that it proves anything, but it may be worth someone further investigating. I am simply wondering whether there is a pattern, so does anyone have this without intermittent Cold Hands?

@jonyb gloves? What kind of gloves?

@SusanEllen66 if you look up sites such as Amazon (hope I can say that Here) and type in keyboard gloves you get some. You want the ones with fingers and conductive ends, most are winter gloves but some are compression gloves so not so hot? but tight so neither are ideal. If anyone uses these it would be good to know how they get on.

My wife's had this problem forever. Ever since smart phones came out, she's had to use a stylus. These are inexpensive, work with any device and easy to find at Amazon. Good thing since they're easy to lose.

@jonyb I thought those were for people who are using their phone outside in the cold. They can still type while keeping their hands warm.

@SusanEllen66 Yes they are but can also work for others some are thinner but tight for swollen hands I assume. You could always cut a finger off a glove (not your finger) and just use this? Anna has some styli that fit on the key ring or in her purse so hope these will work, so thanks to Jim and others for suggesting these.
