Hurry up and wait

Posted by Russell @nrfuls66, 5 days ago

Prostate cancer is a lot of hurry up and wait. My Journey Started in April of this year with a rising PSA level. May brought on an MRI and Pirads 4 lesion. June was biopsy with 3 cores out of 15 positive for cancer and a Gleason score of 8. July was PSMA Pet scan. August 24th results from the pet scan and decipher score. Pet scan was clear with containment. The decipher score was .47, and Sept 10th finally get to see the oncologist for a consultation, with a follow up with my urologist to prescribe orgovyx for two years. I'm hoping to have five SRBT treatments with a possible Brachy boost.

It's like filling out 20 pages of digital check-in paper work on your phone the night before, only to be handed a clipboard with the same paper forms when you walk in. UGH!

Next: Pluvicto! Cant wait for that to happen...not!

It does take some time to get test results but prostate cancer is usually very slow growing.

Sounds like you picked a good treatment plan. You are very likely to never need to come back to this forum.
