Husband disgnosed stage 1: Should he wait 5 months for second opinion?
My husband was just diagnosed with prostate cancer grade 2, 3+4=7, stage T1c. PSA 5.7. He wants a second opinion, but he can’t get in until January. Is that too long to wait?

That is the urologist/surgeon Opinion on focal therapy. You should request that you be given an appointment with the person that’s doing focal therapy. Husband has a very mild prostate cancer case and Tulsa Pro May be appropriate for you.
Not sure which radiation oncologist they’re having you see but this guy is really good.
Dr. Curtiland Deville Jr., MD
You don’t have to depend on that surgeon for who you can talk to.
@jeffmarc He got an appointment with dr. Goldstein who the surgeon said was the best radiologist oncologist at JH, but I had seen information on Dr. Deville and wish that’s who he was seeing. Also, his urologist where we live had sent a referral to JH for him to see Dr. Pavlovich. That’s the appointment that wasn’t until January. I saw that Dr. Pavlovich does Tulsa Pro. I really wish he could’ve seen him.

Tell you your urologist or your radiation oncologist that you want To speak to the Tulsa Pro doctor. If you say you want to, then they should give you a Referral.
The doctor doesn’t get to decide for you.
