Possible Parkinson’s Disease Misdiagnosis?

Did the doctor do either a DaT scan to look at dopamine receptors or a skin biopsy ( that looks for a misfolded a-synuclein protein)?
Often a physical exam and a response to Parkinson’s meds may be enough.

@sjde53 I had mild symptoms on diagnosis five years aga (I am 79), but did have the DaT scan, twice actually,and both times showed up positive for PD. Yet,again, no symptoms of note. Anyone know how reliable this DaT scan is?

@sjde53 Thank you for the information. I will definitely talk to neurologist on September 1 to do one of those test!
