His response seemed to me sort of a "startle" that I knew about and mentioned something he agreed with, which I greatly appreciated. I don't recall details, but seem to recall following up with a question that he somewhat deferred as though he agreed it can be helpful but didn't consider it a clinically tested and approved treatment. That fits with my own sense that it temporarily helps functionally, but doesn't affect long-term progression and outcome. I can repeat my excitement about how it gave us an immediate reprieve from the worst of her daily symptoms.
