You will find that your balance is not as good when you are on Lupron. Doing balance exercises can be very important if somebody is falling repeatedly. My son, who was a personal trainer, keeps telling me I need to do more balance exercises.
I find it can be easy to fall, but one has to be somewhat cautious. I have fallen a few times, but watching where I’m going and what impediments are in front of me can, and has, prevented me from having more falls. It has been quite a while since my last one since I am more careful.
If you are falling while on Lupron , you should definitely look at bone strengtheners because your bones get weak. You should get a DEXA scan first to see how strong your bones are, That can decide whether or not you really need to get bone strengtheners.
Speak to your doctor about this and make sure you’ve had a DEXA scan. If you’re going to fall, you want to make sure your bones are strong enough to not break.
@jeffmarc Thank you. Although my raccoon eyes are scary to my wife (!), I worry more about breaking a bone. We are active together so it would impact the quality of our married life.
I am hoping not to go on bone strengtheners as I have all my teeth, they are healthy, and I worry about the side effects. Do you know if you can stop the strengthener once the build has been rebuilt, when off of Lupron?
I will start my balance exercises - no excuses (although I have many....)
Thank you, as always,, for your generous replies
