So glad you are here and very sorry you are struggling. Others will be chiming in along the way. My menopause journey was somewhat different. I had a spontaneous and quite early menopause at 38. I am 78 now. I didn't have recognizable and more typical symptoms such as yours. However I went through quite a bit of emotional pain. Even though I never wanted children I grieved the loss of my menses because I felt that I had lost an important part of my feminine self. I am finding that we are all so different in our journey through this stage of life. I am glad that you have found a specialist to help you. Looking forward to hearing more.

@gravity3 thank you for being so welcoming. The emotional pain is incredibly tough. Its absolutely a mourning time when that chapter closes, especially at 38. I'm sorry you had to go through that. It's very true how different everyones journey is through this, I had no idea. I'm very happy to have found this support group, it's hard when no one around you is going through it as well.
