I'm so sorry this is happening to you! That must be terrible to put up with. Have you had a routine ear cleaning at your doctor's lately? As simple as that is, it does make a big difference in how you hear. Every time I've had that done everything around me is much louder and clearer. You probably should see your doctor about this issue anyway.
I wish you the best.

2 ReactionsI also am having the same problem. Often with off balance feeling. Just started with a betahistine script. This has to be compounded from a pharmacy because it is not FDA approved in US. It is sold and approved in Europe as well as other countries. My dr seems to have good results with this. I just started it 11dsys ago so it has to take time to build up. I will keep you posted .

My ENT says I never have wax buildup
I never have wax buildup either.
BUT sometimes my voice or other voices sound muffled to me - yet at times no problem.
Turned out it was swelling that I couldn’t see from my allergies that make my Eustachian tubes block. With ENT help and several oral or inhalation drugs it’s MUCH better. If I am desperate I will use something like Afrin but never routinely because of the nasty rebound effects.
My ear canals just don’t like clearing. My allergies were so bad in May I could hear bubbles of air and actually make it move around in there if I put pressure in my ear with my smallest finger! Weird!
It also is the reason I flunked diving classes and have to be content snorkeling!
