This person was treated in the United States, but the cost of Lupron was over $35,000 and $38,000 for two injections in Chicago.

Lupron is very scary drug the cost is extreme and the only side affects I was told about were minimal and thought the risk was worth treating my prostate cancer Gleason 8 so after having prosectomy and was told my cancer was still there I agreed to Lupron therapy 2 shots 3 months apart then 39 radiation sessions. Never told about the possibility of a tumor flare although oncologist knew of tumor in my spine and never told about any anti flare medication just gave the shot and I had tumor flare in spine the tumor grew 6mm in 38 days compared 10mm over 16 years Dr. ignored my pleas for help which resulted in spinal fusion and was unable to move forward with radiation and sadly don't have much faith in the medical field and not sure if I will proceed with treatment or roll the dice, my pain and difficulties with every day life is bad and don't want to make it worse. Quality over quantity unfortunately at 72 I was strong and productive but a incompetent oncologist has changed my life in a bad way drastically.

Just horrible in every way and I am so sorry to hear that you had to endure unnecessary torture and permanent disability due to MOs ignorance and careless behavior 😢. That MO should loose her license by all means !

It is really tragic that doctors who are paid abut half a million dollars a year in salary (yes, that is the salary of MO and goes even much higher depending of the location and seniority) behave in this ignorant and careless manner toward the most vulnerable kind of patients. Just unbelievable what kind of person gets medical degree nowadays 😡 !!!
