I was diagnosed with hcm 4 years ago after an echo and dna blood test. Nothing was done then, but recently had more testing and now I was told I need a pvc ablation. Scheduled it for next month. Was put on metropol which I cozkd not take. Dr. Stopped it. I. Have. A bad stomach and usually. cannot. Tolerate meds. Scared about the ablation and if there is anything else I can. Do which. Will. Get. E. Off. Any. Need. Fir. Meds. Have terrible. Anxiety about. All. This.

@luckyhowreyou Welcome to Connect! You are going through an unsettled time right now - meds that you could not take and a scheduled ablation that you are very nervous about ((HUG)). It is not uncommon to experience side effects from Metoprolol - if you scroll to near the bottom of this article, you can read all about the side effects. (Sometimes I do wonder how people choose to take a drug knowing the seemingly endless list of side effects.) https://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/metoprolol-oral-route/description/drg-20071141 I take 50mg of Metoprolol each morning.

I hope others chime in about their ablation experience, I had a septal myectomy, ablation would have been less effective in my case.
