I’m so new to this and don’t even know if I’m signed up correctly. My fingers are numb and so much pain in my right arm. What to do. Had a MRI and that didn’t show anything waiting to hear from my Dr, the pain is awful. Please help??

I have arm pain that radiates down from my shoulder to my elbow-I felt it is nerve pain and asked for a referral to a Neurologist but am being sent to orthopedics. If I vacuum. back and forth movement can bring it on. If I lift anything to heavy. It is super painful when it happens. It happens in both arms.
Hi Alice, arm pain from shoulder to elbow is usually C 5 compression https://www.physio-pedia.com/Cervical_Radiculopathy I would ask for an MRI of the Cervical and Thoracic spine from the general practitioner to facilitate the appointment with the orthopedic doctor, so that you don't see him just to get an order for the images that he will need anyway. It is in your primary care's purview to order these scans. You should be able to get them on request patient portal or phone without (suffering) an additional appointment.
