Great to hear you also got dual chamber pacemaker. yes my Sick Sinus syndrome its a abnormal rythmn and failed sinus signal; so is complete av block. The signals are not getting through the heart at times, so the rthymn is slow too slow for oxygen to the brain. I was NEVER told the diagnosis. I found out yesterday when I started to read MyChart from the day the pacemaker was put in on June 10th, 2026

@suzy0509 I am glad you read MyChart but am sorry (and upset) that your doctor did not take the time to explain your SSS when you were first diagnosed. We are much better patients when we are informed. We can research from reputable sources about our conditions. Knowledge is Power and learning about our conditions will help us generate questions. The fact that we are all our own best advocates is something we are all learning every day.
I hope that the elimination of blackouts has made your life return to normal!
