@galliganwirth I was a broken hearted young child when the Dodgers moved away. Not my heart was broken when I was diagnosed with ALS in Manhattan. I just went for a second opinion in Jersey and they said I possibly have multifocal motor neuropathy
Which has medication that works to slow it down . Now what do I do?

@barbarapolo I'm heartened to know that you received another opinion. Does the physician in New Jersey plan any more evaluations or suggest treatment for symptoms?

I know other people who sought out 3 or 4 opinions before a solid diagnosis was made. I have worked with physicians and read in textbooks that ALS and other syndromes such as MS have symptoms that do not present the same way in every person. It's a process of looking at each symptom the patient shows because as you have likely experienced there are a number of symptoms - not just one or two symptoms.

I grew up in the L.A. area in the 1960's. I always thought of the Dodgers as "ours" but my mother who grew up in the Midwest always referred to them as the Brooklyn Dodgers.
