Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect, @stephendsessomssr. That must have been frightening to wake up with the room spinning and find you couldn’t keep your balance. I’m glad your wife recognized something wasn’t right and that you went to the emergency room.

It sounds like your PCP helped you put several pieces together—working outside and sweating, the MiraLAX, and the diuretic you take for your blood pressure. With CKD in the mix too, I imagine figuring out the right balance with fluids is especially important.

You mentioned you’re slowly getting back to normal. What symptoms are you still noticing now? Did your PCP give you any guidance about how much or what you should be drinking going forward?

@jlharsh Yes she told me to drink halfed Gatorade zero and water, rest a couple of days. She said I would only need the Ativert a day or 2 more. I only took it one more day and only one dose. All I feel now is like I'm getting my strength ba c k. Very little effects left. She told me to hydrate good before and while Im outside to do any work. I used to do lawns for a living. Just got to remember I'm 70 with my medical issues instead of 30. I got to be more careful.
