Yes Everolimus is used for both kidney transplant as immunosuppressant therapy and as treatments for various other cancer. The trough level for each vastly differs however; the dose the cancer patients take are much much larger. That's the reason our hematologist is so familiar with this drug because he has a lot of cancer patients on it and experiencing anemia. He is probably baffled that hubby is so effected given his dose was minuscule compared to his cancer patients'.
The great thing about a support group is we can learn from each other and rely on each other for emotional support among other things!
