Has anyone used PRP or Stem Cell Therapy to fix cervical discs
I've explained on another thread that I have one Drs opinion that I should have my C4-7 fused because of degenerated discs. He then said he could do bi-level C4-5 & C5-6 disc replacement and only fuse C6-7. I'm waiting on my second opinion Dr to give me his thoughts. I've wanted to know if the PRP or Stem Cell Therapy could help with my issues and if anyone had this for cervical problems or knew anyone who had done this. It seems like they are using it for knees and hips, don't know about other parts. The one Dr that wants to do the surgery says it's not evolved enough for discs yet, years away. I'm going to ask my second opinion doc, but I'd love to hear if anyone's done it and their outcome first.
Thanks, Jennifer

Who said they paid $1,000? Super bargain!?
Ha, ha, you could guess where it's located, honestly they are based in Beverly Hills. I guess that explains the $10,000 price.
It looks like the post that said they paid $1000 is deleted because it's no longer here. I had responded directly to it, but I don't remember who posted that reply. Curious...
The place I spoke to is called Orthohealing Center in LA/Beverly Hills (they are somehow associated with Stanford Med Ctr). They gave me a ballpark quote and said my insurance would pay for some parts but not most. They have video on their website of a whole regenerative medicine conference with a panel of spine docs answering questions. Watching all the video was technical but interesting. I learned about techniques I'd never heard of. It seemed like each doc had their own 'special' way of doing things. If anyone's interested look up that name and it's on their website.
Still don't know where I'd go, but I'm more hopeful about avoiding surgery than I've ever been.

'Winning' said a thousand it their post.
I couldn't find the $1,000 quote post at first, but it was in 'winning's' post
yes, $1000. Stem cell procedures are expensive. Knee was $7000. Friend had both hips done for $10,000. The fact i had no hospital stay or no pain pills is worth it. Me and pain pills do not get along.
i have read where prices vary around the country. I am fortunate that Toledo has a site.
Might be cheaper to fly to Toledo, get a hotel and have it done there! What was your doctors name Cobweb?
ok, Drs. name, phone #? email?
Dr Kruse at Wildwood 419-578-7515 . I never e mail him. I know he and his staff trained at Regenexx in Colorado. Great website where they have listed what they do . Good site to check out.
