I was diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy. My records say idiopathic but the only risk factor i had was taking flouroquinolones. They thought I had tarsal tunnel bilaterally so I had surgery on one foot and it didn't help. I have had numbness and pain for 8 years. It has been debilitating. Sometimes I feel numbness and coldness in a stocking pattern on my lower extremities. I have orthotics to walk but even walking proves difficult. I tried to get an appointment at Mayo when this first happened and the nurse was rude with me and said they don't see patients like me. The pain when walking and the muscle cramps in my calves at night has become all consuming. There has been no relief and it has become progressively worse.

Welcome @nankeee, I'm sorry to hear you haven't found any relief for the pain yet. I also have idiopathic neuropathy but not from fluoroquinolones. Fortunately I just have numbness and no pain but even that is bothersome to deal with daily. It might be helpful to learn what others have mentioned helped with similar symptoms have shared.
