I cant stop metoprolol 12.5 mg I had my period the days of trying to stop my cardiologist and I are trying so hard to stop to see my true resting hr on day 4 my hr went to 160 and next day I had to get back in it I see my cardiologist on August 20th to explain everything that scares me with this drug ugh I wish they had a better medicine well it is a low dose he says but its all so scary with rebounds I had past hyperthyroidism I take methamozile every other day now 5 mg and hoping for remission my endocrinologist wanted to stop this drug but I chose every other day and she was okay with it. My labs are reassuring to my thyroid now. Ever since hyperthyroidism I had palpitations. I started with 25 mg of metoprolol and it was scary. Now taking 12.5 mg daily . Anyone stopped this medication safely? What helped you? Did your cardiologist change your medication to something manageable, is there one?
