Thank you Sue. Glad to hear your husband is cancer free. My diagnosis is has been 7 days ago, and it this point the cancer is not fully staged. I do know it is a plasmacytoid variant ..not fully plasmacytoid but parts of it is what i was told. Your suggestion to seek/care 2nd opinion at a large cancer society is something i have to do. We got this diagnosis from my urologist. He supports getting a 2nd opinion. We live i Western North Carolina...and the big regional hospital near us is not known for Oncology. Thank you again this is helpful.

@gs121 I live in Western North Carolina as well. I was able to get a second opinion on the pathology and a treatment plan from UNC at Chapel Hill. They have a fairly extensive bladder cancer center there.
I know this is a scary situation and an incredible amount of information to take in in the very short period of time.
I had the TURBT surgery in the Asheville area and I am almost finished with a 14 month long treatment with Gem/Doce.
