My diagnosis is an IBD but a different one from yours - I have collagenous colitis which is a microscopic colitis - must be diagnosed with a biopsy of the colon. My “treatment” may be different than yours - I started with an elimination diet (bland, low fiber) which I followed for 2 weeks; then started adding foods back in every 5 days to see what works. I’ve been doing this for 4 months and I’ve had good results. In a nutshell, what hasn’t worked are raw fruits and vegetables, dairy, caffeine, alcohol. But since your diagnosis is different than mine, you may have different results. Good luck to you - this is quite a journey!

If you are on Budesonide, you MUST wean off correctly, or yiur body will go into crisis mode. I almost died by not taking 6 months after being on it 15 years.

Most people with MC are gluten and dairy intolerant. The best diet is Paleo, just meat, veggies and fruit. To stop diarreah, take 1-3 Imodium tablets 30 minutes before you eat, then take Citricel with your breakfast. You can take up to 6 Imodiums per day, but dont constipate yourself. Take when needed, but keep taking Citricel.
Get off the caffeine, too. Try ginger, peppermint or chamomile tea in the morning instead. Best of luck! Let us know how you are doing.

Have been diagnosed with SCAD.
Segmental colitis associated with diverticulitis.
Can not seem to get the diet down yet.
Wondering if your diet might work for mev, although red meats I’m told to avoid .
Also wondering if a dietitian should be brought in .
