Anyone with a Medtronic Stimulator that they're not happy with?
My trial was great, it brought my pain from a 8-9 down to a 5-6. I'm currently having to recharge my battery daily, where I have to sit for a full hour and a half at a time. Sitting with Arachnoiditis is absolute hell, so charging causes my pain to skyrocket and lasts throughout the rest of the day/night.
During the stimulator trial I was able to sit for quite some time and not deal with the pain near this bad. Doctor is extremely concerned and said it is not normal, but doesn't have any answers yet of why I'm not getting the relief, so I'm being juggled back and forth with Medtronic and Pain Management and nobody seems to have any answers.
Anyone else have a similar experience with either a Medtronic's device or another brand?

I had a Medtronic stimulator implanted exactly 2 weeks ago. I had about 5 minutes with the rep while waking up from surgery so all kinda foggy. Decent luck with trail, and I do believe that it lessens the strength and duration of my events. But…… like most am operating on limited information. My implant is not spine but intra-orbital nerve from a sinus infection that eroded my left maxiofacial sinus to the point where my nerve is drooping into my sinus in a couple of places. Walk around at a 3 to 6 on the scales with multiple daily flares that get to 11! This thing has to work or I’m screwed. At least now I feel like I can fight back where as for the last 4 years I have just been along for the ride. This is my 10th procedure along with about 5 X-ray guided nerve block attempts. Meet with pain management and Medtronic rep next Tuesday. I’ll update about my experience.
@justclintdavis I know this is way late but I had a spinal cord stim put in in 2007 from Boston Scientific and it worked good. 18 years later I had to have it replaced and the doctor steered me toward Medtronics instead of Boston Scientific. BIG mistake, I took his advice and am very displeased with this Medtronics device. The Boston Scientific put in 2007 was years ahead of this junk. This takes a few minutes to connect with the controller if it works at all. I hope you don't get the same results.
