Is 81 year old too old for ablation?

@fdixon63 It was not part of my workups. I had chest x-rays, MIBI stress test on a treadmill with contrast and CT scan (X2), MRI, echocardiogram, and an angiogram. These were all to rule out structural abnormalities or defects and to rule out ischemia, which is what my cardiologist thought might have caused my AF.

I did have a TEE (trans-esophageal echocardogram) tube inserted down my esophagus during both catheter ablations. These must be done during GA since 99% of us would balk and fight it while it's being inserted. And catheter ablations are done under GA 99% of the time (very few rare exceptions).

@gloaming - I've had a TEE (trans esophageal echocardiogram) twice. My concern is, I have a very small mouth and am worried about my teeth getting chipped or broken during the procedure. About two years ago I had several teeth break off at the gum line--cause unknown. I don't need to lose any more teeth.
