@crystalena I did not realize dairy hardened phlegm. Thanks...I know that it contributes to inflammation. My urologist actually told me to eliminate that and gluten as it contributes to bladder irritation. My pulmonologist never tod me anything regarding any food other than to drink ginger tea (fresh ginger) in the morning. I hope you enjoyed the potatoes without butter. I have learned to live without it but I sure miss the flavor.

@joycecates I don’t think Pulmonologists have time to educate their patients. I may a bit jaded. They are dealing with crowds of people with breathing issues . There are millions of people suffering from COPD. There are millions that will be learning that they are affected . The pulmonologist realizes the problem is usually non reversible damage . I think, if they give a couple hints on what to eat or drink, it is probably what a patient told them was a help for them personally . There are lots of articles on the internet about diet and COPD. Not all of them are relevant to everyone . It’s kind of like mining , lots of material to dig . Some information is helpful , some not so much .
