I’m 79yrs old, had EC and was lucky Chem & Radiation was enough to eradicate the cancer.
Afterwards my esophagus closed up and could eat food that my wife placed in the food processor.
I started dilations, after 5 dilations it wasn’t getting better.
The radiation left my esophagus full of scar tissue and
the endoscope couldn’t get thru.
We decided to have a stent. Which will be done this week.
I’m nervous thinking it’s going to feel like I have something stuck in my throat. They are thinking 4-5 wks then remove it.
