Actually, everybody supposed to get monitoring For these things. I’ve had them pretty regularly
DEXA (Bone mineral density) scan before getting ADT. And every 2 years while on it
A lipid test for HDL, LDL triglycerides. ADT can raise your HDL and LDL and require a statin
Plasma glucose levels = Blood sugar levels. ADT can give you diabetes or prediabetes
Calcium and vitamin D - Both are recommended for anybody on ADT for bones
@pesquallie
My husband has monthly labs done (complete metabolic panel) since he started his ADT, had DEXA and also EKG ordered by his MO and RO. His labs are perfect but still labs are done every month. He is now going through RT.

@pesquallie At Fred Hutch in Seattle, an NCI designated cancer center, they are doing blood work prior to each appointment that includes most of that list if not all. I noticed and appreciated that they did a DEXA scan for baseline data prior to initiating ADT for me, as per the guideline. Since my biopsy was not originally interpreted by their own in house pathologist, a review by their pathologist was the first thing they ordered.
