I’m 5 years post esophagectomy.
Everyone’s journey is different, something that helped me with weight was to get my body to absorb food and nutrients. An esophagectomy alters the way your digestive system works. In my case my pancreas no longer produces sufficient amounts of pancreatic enzymes. Food just flows right through me.
I started taking pancreatic enzymes (Pure encapsulations from Amazon). I’ve gained weight, fatigue is gone and I now have regular BMs.
What I thought was dumping syndrome has disappeared.
