Recently diagnosed
Recently diagnosed with 2 small 3+4 and 2 small 3+3 tumors, picked up by biopsy not mri.
17 mm core sample- 7mm tumor 10% gl4 0.7mm pattern 4.
26 mm core sample- 2mm tumor 5% gl4 0.1mm pattern 4
MRI showed no EPE, no nerve involvement, no surrounding fat, no prosthetic plane, no textual wall. Etc issues. No lymph or bone invasion, all surrounding structures normal. Biopsy backed up those findings. Had a DRE and cyscoscopy as part of the biopsy completely normal. In fact radiologist specifically stated pattern 4 as ‘minute’. Biopsy showed no Cribriform, no NPI, no vascular invasion, no metastasis.
From what I can gather this is low/intermediate risk favourable grade 2 disease. Early detection. Just having a hard time getting any info from doctors and am looking for some info before my pet scan tomorrow.

As presented what are the chances of metastasis on the pet?
I would say not likely

4 Reactions@jonb1760, localized is good news of a bad situation. How are you doing with the treatment decision making?
@colleenyoung have an appointment with a Radiology Oncologist next week. Once I have all the facts I’ll sit down with my GP(a legend, he went with his gut and started all this) and with my wife and work it all out. At this stage I might be leaning towards surgery but we’ll see.
@jonb1760
If you do decide to look into surgery be sure to research the Retzius sparing RALP and the difference’s between the Retzius and regular RALP regarding incontinence and ED with nerve sparing added if able.
