Don't worry. Mayo Arizona was there to advise your local neph to stop Everolimus, add Predisone, and let the anemia recover. They will definitely be involved again when it's time to replace the prednisone with the new drug and/or dosage of choice.
I am certain that your local neph will be consulting with with a Mayo AZ nephrologist at that time.
I feel very confident that all will be well, like it turned out with me!

I'm very glad things worked out for you. Did you have to advocate to stay on the same txplant meds but on a lower dose that works for your body? Or was it the transplant nephrologist who recommended it? When you first reduced your dose, did your nephrologist(s) put you on prednisone and later removed it? I definitely want hubby to discontinue it because his blood sugar is high regardless of how much insulin he takes now. The CareDX Allosure that you take periodically, is that something that can be ordered at Quest Diagnostics?
I'm really hoping Mayo Az will allow hubby to restart Everolimus on a lower dose, eliminate prednisone and keep Tac as is. I don't feel comfortable making changes in medication esp when it's been working well up to this point, minus a few months. I do not think hubby is a good candidate for Belatacept. Based on querying AI, one of the must have criteria is EBV seropositive and I don't think hubby is.
