Severe Ozempic Side Effects
I am new to taking ozempic and just started 5 days ago. The prescribed dose was 0.5 mg and I have been so sick ever since I injected that dose.
I'm experiencing nausea, dry heaves, and most unexpectedly, severe anxiety. I feel like I'd like to crawl out of my skin and can't wait till this drug clears my system. I can't eat, but I know it's not healthy to totally forgo essential certain vitamins and minerals. I snack on pretzels because they are bland and have salt.
Has anyone else had an extreme anxiety and sickness response to starting Ozempic?

Same here! I also get most of what you described.
I also have to take Betaine HcL w/ pepsin (both in one pill) because I was prescribed it by my doctor for having a stomach acid deficiency. Betaine feels like it relieves some Ozempic side effects sometimes.
You mentioned salt-covered pretzels. Does salt make you feel better?
Yup, had all the same effects, got up to 2mg, lost 10 lbs, didn’t like the continued side effects and switched to Mounjaro. Went thru all the doses and finally settled on 7.5 and lost 30 lbs total.
My eating habits have changed to far more healthier foods. I still get nauseous and take Pepto tablets which works. Sometimes 2-3 in a day.
The drugs are getting better. The hardest part, stopping the medication when you have reached your goal and self managing without.
