I just noticed your discussion about your husband's GI issues. I'm sorry to hear about the problems with weight loss as well as his discomfort. Have you considered a second opinion? Is it possible to get a consultation from a multidisciplinary healthcare system such as Mayo Clinic (appointment information is available at http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63)? If an appointment at a Mayo facility is not possible, I would encourage you to schedule one at a nearby university medical school.
Has your husband had any surgery for any of these issues? Has his medical team prescribed any medication?

@hopeful33250 hi, those are good suggestions and I'll definitely talk to my husband about this. He has never had any surgery. We can't afford the Mayo Clinic and they don't accept his medical insurance and they said they require $5,000 up front which we don't have.
