@bigklssick Well, as a 5-time joint replacement survivor, and a person with a LOT of arthritic joints, here is what I do - STRETCH & FLEX while still in bed.
I begin by wriggling and moving every part of my body, followed by loosening stretches of my spine, neck, arms...down to my toes. Then I stand up, try to touch my toes, rotate my torso, march in place...
At that point I'm ready for coffee and my morning routine. After breakfast I do my PT (currently on a new wrist - previously shoulder, knee, hips, etc...) after warming up.
What do you do currently to loosen up in the morning?
PS - I repeat the stretching and loosening in bed before sleep to get rid of the kinks from the day.

Considering all you have shared regarding your health journey, on this Mayo Connect,
...and have time to respond in between everything else....etc. etc..... You are remarkable.!!!
Doing those early morning movements make all the difference in the world...I do some of the same.
