Neuropathy and dysautonomia

Posted by brownstar57 @brownstar57, 1 day ago

I have chronic venous insufficiency and have rt and Lt GSV one removed and the other Venaseal done march of this year. Also had other injections done on both legs. The problem I’m having is when standing my feet become blue. Pedial pulses are fine sometimes feet are cold or very warm this had gotten worse in the last year. I don’t have a hx of family or diabetes’s. I also have DDD disease, ringing rt ear, narcolepsy chronic constipation reflux gastritis now my adrenals have crashed and just started hydrocortisone. Not one dr can help explain any of this. I’m miserable. Bending and standing extreme lightheaded racing pulse. Can anyone relate or have suggestions. I’m in eau Claire and see mayo drs

Hello @brownstar57, It can be frustrating when doctors are not able to explain what's going on and provide a treatment that provides some relief. You are not alone. You might want to scan through these related discussions to see if something might help.

It sounds like you have a lot of different symptoms that are troubling. What is the most bothersome symptom for you to manage?

@brownstar57 could it be venous Insufficiency that is helped with compression hose? Venous insufficiency would improve lying flat with legs elevated about the heart and worsen with prolonged standing.

Just my 2 cents and hope this helps!

@brownstar57, I'm guessing you have seen multiple specialists. You mentioned your feet turn blue and hurt when standing and they say it's not vascular or arterial just neuropathy and Raynaud's. You might want to have another conversation with them to see if your symptoms might be Secondary Raynaud's. Here's some information from Mayo Clinic:

"Diseases of the blood vessels. These include a buildup of fatty deposits in blood vessels that feed the heart and a disorder in which the blood vessels of the hands and feet become inflamed. A type of high blood pressure that affects the blood vessels of the lungs also may cause secondary Raynaud's."

Have they suggested any treatment to help?

hi, I can hear you… I have some issues going on as well. I have Reynard disease, well as small nerve neuropathy. I do have reading in my ears, I cannot regulate my heat, I do not perspire anymore and have not for decades which can make it difficult for body temperature regulation. My skin is unhappy, nerve damage in many areas of my body, I hear you concerning the rest of the irregular workings of your organs as this can come with a small nerve neuropathy I’m wondering if you have been tested… This test consist of Nerf conduction test, as well as punch biopsies in inside of the calf of the leg. I also have an autoimmune disease, I won’t mention the auto immune disease cause I don’t know how to spell it and it’s 20 letters long and hypothyroidism.… Hang in there I’m not sure if I’m reading correctly that you’re uncertain of your diagnosis in some areas that you were concerned about. I encourage you to chase this down if I am correct, and I also understand the exhaustion of chasing these issues down it gets to be old! Blessings to you, hang in there
