My daughter had chronic sinusitis and discovered the Netti pot is irritating. You should use Normal Saline if you feel you need to irrigate. She was given a Steroid based nasal spray allergy medicine and it was making matters worse. (Not to mention, making her more aggressive.) Steroids' make it so you don't heal correctly because it jacks up your cortisol. Antibiotics constantly used is going to cause more problems than cure them. This is the reason for all the antibiotic resistant bacterias we have now. That's why you have to use a combo antibiotic. I discovered not going to doctors very often is the key to feeling better and avoiding prescription meds they constantly prescribe. My husband and I are 65 years old and neither are on prescription meds. I swear by herbs and vitamins. Eating right is also necessary. Eat a good quality yogurt especially when you are on antibiotics. I make my own in an Instapot with Chobani yogurt as my starter. (Chobani is a good quality yogurt.) Hope you can sort this out.

I saw my ENT Dr today and he says in looking at the Left Maxillary sinus that the antibiotic sinus rinses have improved alittle . However we have decided that surgery is right for me now . I have had the bacteria Pseudomonas for the last year and a half. Have had 2 sinus infections with cultures to identify the Pseudo . Had lung , UTI infections also last year with sputum culture again identifying the Pseudo . Brought up a sputum this April and again lab shows Pseudo.
So my ENT Dr says he can do out patient surgery(Maxillary Antrostomy) maybe lasting less than an hr and go in and enlarge the natural opening of the maxillary so it drains better and remove the crusts where the mucus gets stuck and becomes the crust and remove swollen tissue causing blockage He think that little “buger” Pseudo is still hanging around there . The left maxillary is completely white !
I’m encouraged as this has been going on entirely too long and I’m ready for some relief !
Meanwhile my Pulmonologist has ordered a chest CT Scan to look at the lungs due to the recent sputum lab report .
