Tymlos side effects

Posted by loh @loh, Jan 29, 2025

Has anyone else had leg/back aches with Tymlos? I've been on it since October and lately I've had terrible aches in my legs and lower back, especially at night. Is that one of the known side effects? Thanks!

No, I have not considered that but will definitely check with my doctor. I believe my next scan is still 4 months away as I am just getting started. I'm wondering too if injection site has anything to do with it. I had lots of trouble injecting into my stomach so switched to thigh injections probably 6 weeks ago. While that is working better in terms of less pain and bruising, am I giving up stomach bruises for leg pain?? Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it.

For what it’s worth my doctor suggested injecting into my flank instead or until I got used to to Tymlos and acclimated…it was much better but my husband injects it for me.

Absorption is slower in the hip but total absorption is equal. Good suggestion @rebecca3. Compliments to your husband,

My question to somebody- who takes low dose of Tymlos. After 30 days you still have a Tymlos because of low dose , is it expires or you can do injections with what left of Tymlos?

whiteswan, I'm not taking Tymlos, but the endocrinologist I see says that you can continue to use the pen. He says that you might refrigerate it if you extend use.
