I have been on prednisone for 10 years for PMR and every time I go below 5mg I have a relapse. My rheumatologist started me on Leflunomide 3 months ago to help me get off of prednisone because of osteoporosis and it has been a miracle. No more morning stiffness while awaiting the morning prednisone to kick in and no initial side effects
Now my liver enzymes are significantly elevated
Has anyone else had this experience?

@vbdunn Thats good to hear that it’s working for you. Ive also been put on Leflunomide a few weeks ago after 4 1/2mths on methotrexate which gave me such dreadful side effects, i couldn't function for 3 days out of each week. Very happy to be off it. So far so good with the Leflunomide, im having some side effects but minor compared to my methotrexate experience. Due to have my first blood test next week to check on liver and kidneys. I was told i wouldn’t feel much relief for at least 8 weeks.
