Thanks...the one thing that will be hard for him is raw goat milk. We love it from our friends farm, but he uses just about 1/4 cup a day in his coffee. Wonder if that is acceptable?
Also I thought they said red meat maybe 2 times a month if its lean?
Lastly how do you get your protein?
THX

Oh I envy you ; ) being so close to goat farm - I LOVE goat milk and goat cheese. If you ask me (and I am not world expert on milk carcinogenic effects), bovine (cow) milk is the worst and all studies were done on cow milk and most showed that it is not healthy for humans, and not only because of cancer risk.

In my humble opinion it is not because it is "cow" that is producing it , but because cows are treated with tons of hormones, antibiotics, pesticides and their food contaminated with herbicides and they are fed all kind of crap. Even "pasture" fed cows are sprayed with pesticide and let out to drink contaminated local water wells ?
Now goats are not treated by any of that because it is not possible to do so. Goats do not eat anything but herbal matter and they eat all kind of herbs and plants and leaves of which many have medicinal properties and end up excreted in goat milk. Goats are not treated with growth hormones since they are not raised for slaughter and meat but mostly for milk and cheese production . BTW, good luck finding organic goat milk in stores in spring time - there are NONE since goat-kids are born and they need milk ! So goat farms are by definition more natural and clean and "organic". Goat milk also has health benefits !!! But that is another story.

The latest study that was done on cow milk determined (do not ask me how) that consuming less than one small cup of cow milk a day does not increase a risk. So, if your husband drinks only 1/4 a cup of goat milk a day (which is much cleaner and healthier), it should be safe to do so and especially since you know the farmer - oh what a blessing indeed 🥰.

Red meat - again, if he really hates fish and chicken, than 2 times a month of lean organic meat (and regular portion, not mega burger or huge steak ) could be OK, I say could since it would be better to stick with fish and chicken or turkey, shrimp, etc., but eating beef once a month should not be a problem. Same as with goat milk - organic New Zealand baby lamb shanks would be MUCH healthier than fatty big peace of US mass production beef hamburger. One just needs to find alternatives that are better and healthier.

Would it be the best that we are all eating vegan diet - it would. Is it feasible to most of the people - it is not. Should we just give up than and eat junk 24/7 - I do not think so ; ). We can just try to make as many healthy choices as possible, that is the whole idea.

Hope I was of any help 💖🤗

@fmdsouthard This was 30 years ago or so, but it was doing some work for a gentleman and when I drove to his house he had a good sized pen and had goats in it so I asked him about his goats and he told me that he had had cancer and during his chemo he wasn’t doing to good.Someone gave some goats milk and Doc told him I don’t know what you are doing but keep it up. Anyway he said it did him so much good that he bought goats and was giving it to people that were going through chemo . As far as cows go they give GH for milk production. My opinion is raw milk has many health benefits, after chemo I can’t say since it knocks your immune system to the ground.
